This sandwich is called by many different names depending on where it's made, including hoagie, hero, grinder, Po' Boy, sub, etc.. It consists of a long loaf of Italian or French bread split in half lengthwise, then stuffed with various meats, cheeses, vegetables, sauces, and seasonings, etc.. It's often cut into sections and served in individual sized portions.
