It ranges in color from white to yellow to multi-color, and varies in flavor from sweet to starchy. Corn can be cooked in whole ears by boiling or roasting, or the kernels can be separated from the cob and cooked in a variety of ways. Corn is used to produce many food ingredients, such as corn flour, cornmeal, corn oil, cornstarch, corn syrup, etc., as well as in a multitude of industrial applications.
