INGREDIENTS
Spices
o Chilli Powder [ 1 TEASPOON ]
o Coriander Powder [ 1 TEASPOON ]
o Coriander Leaves [ Few ]
o Curry Leaf [ Few ]
o Cloves [ Few ]
o Cardamom ( Black Preferred ) or green cardamom [ Few ]
o Cinnamon Sticks [ 1 ]
o Garlic [ 3 Pods ]
o Ginger [ ….. ]
o Turmeric [ one pinch ]
o Fenugreek [ just 2 small pieces ; half a pinch ]
o Mustard [ just few , a pinch ]
o Meat Masala
* Prepare Yourself
OR Buy Pataks Korma curry paste from grocery store
Vegetables
o Onions
o Tomatoes
o Potatoes
Beef
o Beef
Nuts
o Coconut
Oil
o Coconut Oil OR Sunflower Oil
PROCESS
- STEP 1 : Get Ready
o In Dish 1: Slice onions and tomatoes and keep it aside .
o In Dish 2: Grate ginger and garlic and keep it aside
o In Dish 3: Keep the minced beef ready . Squeeze few drops of lemon juice on the beef .
o In Dish 4: Pataks Korma Curry Paste
o In Dish 5 : Pieces of coconut .
- STEP 2 : Cook the Beef
o Cook Minced Beef with Water in a pan
Add 200 ml water for 500 grams of beef
Add 1 teaspoon salt
Add 1 teaspoon chilli powder
Add a pinch of turmeric
Add one teaspoon coriander powder
- STEP 3 : Make PASTE
-
o Heat Sunflower oil in a pan until the oil is hot
o Add a pinch of Mustard and half a pinch of fenugreek
o You could see the mustard and fenugreek releasing trails of small bubbles in oil
o Add Onions , Tomatoes , Ginger and garlic paste and sauté them for 5 minutes
o Add Pataks Curry paste and stir them for another five minutes
o Add Coconut Milk and stir them for ten minutes
- STEP 4 : MIX THEM
o Add the previously boiled beef and cook/stir it for another 10 minutes
Add Coriander leaves
Add pieces of coconut
o Add Cloves, Cardamom ,Cinnamon and stir it for another 5 minutes.
o SERVE IT WITH BOILED TAPIOCA . |

Question:
when you say fenugreek, do you mean fresh leaves or dried seeds? is there such a thing as fenugreek leaf powder?

there seems to be virtually everything in this dish. I'm surprised it needed 'korma sauce', and poatoes and tomatoes, and very surprised the beef is minced, and cooked in water. This is not any kind of 'curry' that I am familiar with. South Indian curries, generally are less complicated than their North Indian counterparts, and differ by using coconut, curry leaves and fewer spices. As to what kind of dish it is defies analysis.
It is interesting to note that Kerala is the only state in India where beef can be purchased, in every other state, it is water buffalo.
