Apparently the tide is turning when it comes to those of us interested in food and science. There are two new cookbooks that focus on food and science that I would like tell you fellow engineers about:
Why It Works by Kevin Ryan: Amazing this is a Betty Crocker book. But the recipes are awesome and they actually got a food scientist (Ph.D to write it. All of the recipes I've tried so far are great and the science tips are good to.
Happy in the Kitchen by Michel Richard: Think molecular gastronomy meets real cooking. I haven't tested this one yet but would be anxious to hear from anyone that had! |
