So, we have a 5lb cake mix, but were supposed to make brownies. What can I add, since I can't remove ingredients from the mix. We tried added 6 eggs and more butter, it seemed to work a little. What are your thoughts? |

brownies will have more fat and more sugar than a "standard cake" recipe.
the extra eggs and butter are a good start (6 _extra_ eggs? in how big a batch?)
brownies typically use baking soda vs baking powder for leavening - but as you say - tough to remove stuff from the mix.
unfortunately since it's unlikely you have the % by weight of the cake mix ingredients, experimentation is about the only way to go.
with 5 lbs of mix, you'll likely be out of mix prior to perfection. (sigh) |

This idea sounds interesting.... I wonder if it worked out for him??
I would think just using the same ingredients a brownie recipe calls for may work fine |
