Which is the best cake mixer to use to make the cakes with?
I used the whisk bit the first time but that doesnt seem to go right to the bottom of the bowl
It came with a 'k' beater the whisk and a flexible beater
I'm thinking I shoul be using the flexible beater but thought I'd ask what everyone else uses lol

you can use either the K style (aka "paddle") or the flexible edge style.
there are many flex designs - some are essentially a paddle with a flex scraper on one (or both) sides. I have seen flex designs that are complete open - nothing in the middle to "mix" with. probably not good for cake batter....
the intent of the flex edges is to wipe the sides of the bowl - actual physical contact. (does the "scrape down the bowl" task)
as for reaching to the bottom, check your manual for how to adjust. most (all?) tilt head and lift bowl types have an adjustment for this. |
