Is there someone using Ceramic knife. Do you think it is expensive if it costs 10usd for 3 inch length of blade. Where are you going to buy it usually.

Ever since I bought my first set ages ago at the German discounter chain "Aldi" (the mother company of "Trader Joe's" btw for real small money I have hardly used any other knives. The sharpness is amazing while it lasts, and it lasts well over two years if treated correctly (no cutting on china plates or the like, no dropping, no hacking, no dishwasher – but there so easy to clean) And when they eventually get blunt – which, of course they do, when you need it least, there's a handsome and cheap remedy: Buy two sets in the first place
By the way, the best way to store them ist one of the "Kapoosh" knive storage blocksm, which has been heartily "unrecommended" elsewhere on this here website; but I cannot but praise its usability. And I have never (quote: NEVER) witnessed a black particle on the white ceramic blades that are stored in it permanently. |
