Well, on Saturday I prepared a Middle-Eastern/Mediterranean feast consisting of falafels, tsatziki sauce, pitas, hummus and tabbouleh. The feast turned out superb, but as I was making the hummus, I decided to taste the tahini partly to see if it was ok (I know, I know, not good to find edible mushrooms by tasting them first...). What I noticed was that it has a texture similar to organic (not Jif, Peter Pan or other prepared brands) peanut butter. Frankly, it tastes a little like peanut butter but with that sesame flavor.
So, I am wondering what peanut butter hummus might taste like? Would it be a happy variation of the tahini version, or something nasty that would need to be relegated to the trash can? Well, I plan to try it unless someone has been there already--hey, all I have to lose is a can of garbanzos and some time. |

Possible, maybe? But why would you want to eat it? |
