i am an old beer maker and have a plan to make cider BUT do i really need a press( very expensive). i see that the apples are ground prior to pressing therefore would not a zip in the food processor accomplish much the same?
it would need to go thru a coarse filter but i am not worried about sediment just taste
on top of this i live in windsor ont (across the river from detroit) so duty could make it even worse. its a wine region so i don't necessarily need a grape press(i can get enuff real good wine) but there is alot of fruit grown here so i want to make cider and perry.
any advice would be appreciated. |
