I ran across a recipe that calls for "Jaret Toast". What is Jaret toast? Thanks.

Fascinating. Google revealed only three pages, two asked the same question. No doubt a local brand of Melba-style toast somewhere.

This recipe implies two things to me (aside from the "some special brand of toast assumption"):

1) It is some kind of English muffin style of bread,

2) It may be a gluten-free or low-carb grain.

So, you may be better served just adapting your recipe to some other bread.[/url]

I got the recipie from the book "Protein Power", p 234. The authors live in Arkansas. The object is to produce a low Carbo, high protein breakfast, using the toast, egg, grated chedder cheese, and Black Forest ham or Canadian bacon: 13 g carbo, 23 g protein.
