Has anyone ever heard of "flavor detonators"? I learned that they are ingredients and techniques that you can add to your dishes to add a ton of flavor. Some examples would be capers, mustard, and garlic puree. I've been doing some work for Bertolli and they've got this site with video clips of Rocco DiSpirito in them. He teaches different techniques and how to make Mediterranean style dishes. I'm still learning everything there is in the kitchen. So, it definitely helped me out that there are these Bertolli Mediterranean Style Frozen Dinners. LOL it's a way for me to cheat a bit. Just thought I'd share with you guys. I was also wondering what "flavor detonators" you guys like using?

Citrus. Been in love with citrus for a few years now.
Salt Flakes. It stands up to roasting and even pan searing. The bright crunch throws flavor all over the darned place.
