Has anyone had a chance to use Calphalon Katana or Contemporary knives? Are they any good. How would they compare to Wustof knives? I'm looking for a good set and I want to make sure I get my investment's worth. Thanks.

I'm not sure how close you are to picking one up, but you might want to keep an eye on the thread here:
Knife Forums thread

which is a discussion of these knives by people who are experts in such things (steel types, etc.) So far there isn't much experience with them. One person finds them comfortable in a pinch grip. The only strike against raised so far is that they're made in China.[/url]
