I've got over 50 lbs of tomatoes (brandywine) a week to process during growing season. The kitchenaid isn't up to the job. I'm looking for a new strainer with a larger throat to accept the tomatoes after they have been processed with a steam-based juicer.

So.....what can any of you engineers recommend for taking the 'hot', steamed tomatoes to extract the pulp so I'm not having to spend hours force feeding the extraction screw?

I don't know exactly what you want to accomplish here with your mixer, but take a look at the Robot Coupe site. They have a very extensive line of food processors, and mixers. One may do exactly what you want.
