I tried to make pumpkin brownies *(less calories per serving) using bananas added to devils food cake mix; the recipe then just said add a little water up to two tablespoons. It is on the sparksrecipes.com website; anyway it seemed like that was not enough of fluid - so I added one tablespoon of lite mayonnaise and a little more water. Now my question is did the pumpkin cause the brownies to not be crisp or the bananas? What are some of others experiences using pumpkin in place of "oil"?
