I'm a bit of a novice in the kitchen but have had some success with following recipes on this site thanks to the precision of the directions.

I've recently discovered the existance of Xylitol and would like to use it but I'm not sure if it can be directly substituted for some sugars and how best to work it into a recipe.

You may use Xylitol as a spoon-for-spoon substitute for table sugar, but it's best to start with less as some folks say it actually tastes sweeter in spite of having only a third of the calories.

Another reason to substitute less in the beginning is that overdoing xylitol can have a mild laxative effect.

that site advertises an eBay store which has been terminated - seems eBay is terminating all sellers and buys of late . . .

Xylitol as a better alternative for diabetic patients, over sucrose, aspartame or natural sugar.
