Hi
I have been making oatmeal cookies the last while - and they're great (not because of me, just the recipe really works)!! The recipe calls for oats and flour - what would happen if I replaced all the flour with oats? The recipe has 3 eggs and butter (no other liquid).

Is this replacement a possibility?

Have you tried cooking with this recipe? Not bad for me. I have tried it also. If you try this then it turns out good then thats it.

Sharing the ingredients of Oatmeal Cookies,1 1/2 cups (212g) all-purpose flour (scoop and level to measure) 1 tsp ground cinnamon. 1/2 tsp of baking soda. 1 cup unsalted butter, softened slightly (it should still be somewhat cold and firm) 1 cup (200g) packed light brown sugar. 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar. 2 large eggs. 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract.

note that the poster neglected to include any oatmeal in the oatmeal cookies. probably not a good recipe to try.

here's mine:
Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
from Traditional Quaker Oats lid

pre heat oven to 325'F/165'C

cream together
1 stick + 6 tbsp butter (170g)
0.75 c / 150 g light brown sugar
0.5 c / 100 g granulated sugar

add two eggs
add 1 tsp vanilla extract

combine & blend
180g KingArthur All Purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda (2g)
1 tsp cinnamon (3.5g)
0.5 tsp salt

add flour mixture to creamed butter&sugar
add 3 c. / 240g oatmeal
add 1 c. / 160g raisins

small soup spoonful onto baking sheet
bake 18-19 mins

says ungreased baking sheet, but bare aluminum sheets need an oil wipe.
very soft when hot - try parchment paper vs. oiled sheet for easy of removal to cooling.
