How about refined extra virgin olive oil and ghee? Does anyone knows the smoke points?

Yes, its possible. Pour your extra virgin olive oil into a heat-resistant bowl like Pyrex glass. You can smoke any amount of oil you'd like, depending on your planned usage.

But you have to consider the right temperature. Good thing, extra virgin olive oil turns out to be one of the best choices for high-heat cooking even if it does not have the highest-smoke point.
