The place I work at has three knives with blades that have been ground down passed the handles, so when cutting, I have to keep the handle passed the table's edge or the blade won't touch the table. Also I have a small aluminum pan or two that are too damages to be any use. Should I throw these items away or can they be recycled?

the knives are probably best tossed

all aluminum should be recycled - it takes tons more energy to produce aluminum from the raw ore than to re-melt/recycle.
