Hello,
I know this should be easy, but i haven't found a good way to sweeten homemade iced coffee, since various forms of sugar won't dissolve. I tried making a simple syrup but it ended up as goo in the bottom of the cup. I could pre-dissolve the sugar in the hot coffee, but i wanted the option of adding sweetener later for those who like it sweeter. Ideas?

Thanks.

ordinary table sugar dissolves quite well in water.

water, lots of sugar, heat - that's the definition of a simple syrup.

add that (cooled) super sweet liquid to the iced coffee & stir.
