Hi - was hoping someone might be able to help with a problem I've had a couple times with buttercream. It seems to get sort of a transparent type of look to it and I don't know why. This happened once with the Wilton recipe (using 100% Crisco) and again when I used half butter/half Crisco. Each time the buttercream was freshly made and looked great initially. Today's buttercream was made yesterday so it's not old, and it was the half butter/half shortening recipe.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
