Apparently the tide is turning when it comes to those of us interested in food and science. There are two new cookbooks that focus on food and science that I would like tell you fellow engineers about:

Why It Works by Kevin Ryan: Amazing this is a Betty Crocker book. But the recipes are awesome and they actually got a food scientist (Ph.D Cool to write it. All of the recipes I've tried so far are great and the science tips are good to.

Happy in the Kitchen by Michel Richard: Think molecular gastronomy meets real cooking. I haven't tested this one yet but would be anxious to hear from anyone that had!
