so I just stumbled across this site,while I was trying to
find out how to keep brats from curling
But I got some old posts from 08
Did not get any answer but I hope those
People haven’t been killing their food
All this time LOL

I use a skewer - see the thread from 2016

if you are open air grilling, a curled brat is essentially a definition.
pan/grill frying a brat, the curl makes for even browning/cooking issues, tho.

To get them nice and straight, roll them flat between your hands, puncture few holes in both sides, and then boil them. Allow them to cool after cooking for about 10 minutes. Because they are hot, they will dry quickly once removed from the water.

The brats should be grilled slowly over medium-low heat for the best results. Remember to turn them often so each side gets caramelized.

How often to you turn it? and what's the recommended time before turning it just to be sure its fairly caramelized?
