Can I carry 2 Laptops, 2 Digital cameras, 2 Camcorders from USA to India? one of each in carry on bag? I'm going India back to home. I have my personal laptop digital camera and camcorder . I want to buy another laptop, camera and camcorder for my uncle. Is it possible to carry each one of it in carry on bag and other in checked baggage ?

slightly off the cooking equipment, eh?

what the airlines will allow is one issue.

what the Indian customs people have to say about all the stuff you're bringing with you is quite another thing.

here's a brief synopsis -

you should probably call the Indian Embassy in your area and clarify for your specific situation what is allowed without duty.

Off topic, yeah, but we're all smart around here!

Quick answer is no, you're only allowed one of each. If customs (Green Line) finds them they'll be hell to pay.

Practical answer is yes, go for it, esp. if you don't look like a fresher tourist and know how to bribe the customs officers if you *do* get caught.
